Juvelook in Korea: What It Is, Juvelook Skin vs Volume, and What It Costs in Gangnam

Juvelook usually arrives in a patient's messages the same way: a friend's story, a product name, no explanation. We are Vellicell Clinic, on the third and fourth floors of OPUS 407 beside Gangnam Station Exit 10 in Seoul, and this is how our director, Dr. Kim Ji-a, explains the treatment to patients who write to us from Singapore, Manila or Jakarta before they book a flight.
By the end of this page you will know what the product is made of, how it differs from Rejuran and from filler, which of the six Juvelook items on our price list we would consider for which face, what the recovery looks like on a short trip, and what it costs in Korean won.
What Juvelook is, and what it is not
Juvelook is an injectable made in Korea. The manufacturer describes it as a bio-interactive PDLLA-HA stimulator — poly-D,L-lactic acid microspheres carried in hyaluronic acid (juvelook.com, accessed September 2026). The lactic acid polymer is biodegradable, meaning the body breaks it down over time rather than keeping it in place.
There are broadly two ways an injectable can change how skin looks. One adds material that sits where it is placed and is visible as soon as it is in. The other asks the skin to remodel and build its own collagen, which is slower by definition. Juvelook belongs to the second group, so the honest expectation is a gradual change over weeks rather than a difference in the mirror the next morning. Every procedure carries a possibility of side effects, and both the result and how long it lasts vary between individuals.

It is just as useful to say what Juvelook is not. It is not a muscle relaxant, so it does not soften a frown line caused by muscle movement. It is not a lifting device: if the jawline has genuinely lost support, energy-based treatments on our lifting page, such as Thermage FLX or Ultherapy Prime, are a different conversation. And it is not a pigmentation treatment — spots and melasma sit under pigmentation and toning.
Our Filler category uses hyaluronic acid fillers and biodegradable PDLLA fillers, all KFDA-approved. That is a separate list from the skin boosters described here, and the two are not interchangeable.
Juvelook vs Rejuran: the question each one answers
This is the comparison patients ask about most, and the short answer is that they are different raw materials aimed at the same broad goal: skin quality. Rejuran is built on polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA. Juvelook is built on PDLLA with hyaluronic acid. Neither is a category winner, and any clinic that tells you one is simply better for everyone is skipping the examination step.

Rejuran itself comes in more than one form — Rejuran Healer, Rejuran HB and Eye Rejuran are all on our list, and we have written the detail out separately in our guide to Rejuran in Korea, including what each type is used for and its published price. Two products we are asked to compare against but do not carry: Profhilo and Sculptra. Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid based injectable; Sculptra belongs to the same lactic acid polymer family as Juvelook but differs in composition and preparation. Since neither is on our treatment list, we will not claim a result for them or against them. Results and recovery vary between individuals in every case.
Who Juvelook suits, and when we say not today
The concerns patients describe when they ask about Juvelook are usually about the surface of the skin rather than the shape of the face.
- Skin that photographs flat or rough despite a full skincare routine
- Fine lines that show when the face is completely still, not only when smiling
- Cheeks and the area in front of the ears where the skin feels thin
- Patients who have already tried a hydration-only booster and want something that works on the skin's own structure
- Patients who can plan a course rather than a single appointment before a wedding next week
And the situations where we ask a patient to wait, or to treat something else first:
- Active inflamed acne or an ongoing skin infection in the area
- Skin that was lasered or treated very recently, where we would rather space the two
- A trip of two or three days with an important event at the end of it, since injection marks can still be visible
- A goal that is structural — eyelid shape, facial bone — which no injectable addresses, and which we do not perform here
We ask about pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies, current medication and any previous reaction to an injectable at consultation, and the answers change what is recommended on the day. Every procedure carries a possibility of side effects, and both the result and how long it lasts vary between individuals.

How the doctor chooses between them:
- Juvelook Skin 2CC or 4CC. The deciding factor is area. Two cubic centimetres covers a limited region; four is used when the plan runs across both cheeks and the wider face. The doctor sets the volume after mapping the area, not before you arrive.
- Juvelook Volume 4CC or one vial of 8CC. The Volume version is the one we reach for when the concern is lost support in a defined area rather than surface texture. The 8CC vial exists for plans that cover a larger area in one session.
- Potenza Pumping plus Juvelook Skin 4CC. Potenza is the microneedling device on our pores and scars list, used together with Juvelook Skin within the same appointment. It is listed as one session and as a three-session course, because collagen-stimulating treatment is normally planned across visits rather than as a single event.

How a Juvelook appointment runs at our clinic
- Send a photo on WhatsApp. One makeup-free photo in natural light, your main concern in a sentence, and your travel dates. We reply in English with what may suit and an estimate taken from the published list.
- Confirm a time. Weekdays we are open 10:00 to 20:00 with last booking at 19:00; weekends 10:00 to 17:00 with last booking at 15:00. We are open on Sundays.
- Arrive at third-floor reception. OPUS 407 is beside Gangnam Station Exit 10, next to the Samsung flagship store, under a minute on foot.
- Consultation with the doctor, with the skin scanner. Dr. Kim Ji-a reads your skin with the scanner first, then decides whether Juvelook is the right family at all and at what volume. She is the only physician here, so the person who examines you is the person who treats you.
- Cleansing and treatment in one private suite. You do not move between rooms. Cleansing, the consultation and the injection happen in the same room, and the corridors are laid out so patients do not cross paths.
- Aftercare guidance at fourth-floor reception. Instructions are explained before you leave, and you can keep asking on the same WhatsApp account after you fly home.
Parking inside the building is limited and electric vehicles, large sedans and SUVs cannot be parked, so the subway is easier. Aftercare and downtime after Juvelook
Juvelook is an injectable, so our injectable aftercare applies, with one addition specific to skin boosters: injection marks and small scabs can remain, and depending on your skin may last more than a week. That is the part travellers underestimate.

The heat rule is worth reading twice if you are planning a full Seoul treatment week. Heat on the treated area, including radiofrequency devices, can markedly reduce the result, so a Thermage FLX session and a skin booster should not be squeezed into the same few days without the doctor sequencing them. Jjimjilbang deserves the same caution.
Bruising, swelling, tenderness or small raised bumps can appear after any injectable and usually settle within a few days. Juvelook price in Korea and booking from abroad
Prices differ between clinics, and no clinic can quote for another. Ours are published item by item in Korean won, excluding 10% VAT, and international patients pay the same published price as Korean patients — the figure you read before your flight is the figure at the desk.
For patients who treat regularly we also list a prepaid membership, usable for purchases of KRW 10,000,000 or more, valid for one year from purchase, non-transferable, with treatment discounts calculated before VAT.

- One makeup-free front photo in natural light, so the doctor can read tone and texture before you arrive
- Your single main concern — texture, fine lines, thin skin or lost support — since that decides Skin versus Volume
- Your travel dates and length of stay, so the treatment and the days of visible marks fit the trip you have actually booked

Frequently asked questions
Is Juvelook a filler?
On our price list Juvelook sits under Skin Booster, not Filler. The manufacturer describes it as a PDLLA-HA stimulator, so it is not intended to add volume the way a cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler does, and any change builds gradually. Results and recovery vary between individuals.
Is Juvelook the same as Profhilo?
No. Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid based injectable and it is not on our treatment list, so we do not use it and cannot compare outcomes with it. Juvelook is a PDLLA product carried in hyaluronic acid.
Is Juvelook like Botox?
No. Botulinum toxin works by relaxing a specific muscle; Juvelook does not act on muscle at all. They are sometimes planned in the same visit for different concerns, and the doctor decides that after examining your face.
What is the difference between Sculptra and Juvelook?
Both belong to the lactic acid polymer family of collagen stimulators, but they differ in composition and in how they are prepared and injected. We do not carry Sculptra, so we can only describe how Juvelook is used at our clinic.
How many Juvelook sessions will I need?
The doctor decides after examining your skin, because it depends on the area and on what the skin scanner shows. Our list includes both a single Potenza Pumping plus Juvelook Skin 4CC session and a three-session version, since collagen-stimulating treatment is usually planned as a course rather than a one-off.
How much does Juvelook cost in Korea?
At our Gangnam clinic Juvelook Skin 2CC is KRW 200,000 and Juvelook Skin 4CC is KRW 300,000; Juvelook Volume 4CC is KRW 400,000. All prices exclude 10% VAT, and international patients pay the same published price as Korean patients.
How much downtime should I plan before flying home?
You can wash your face and wear makeup the same day, but injection marks and small scabs can remain and, depending on your skin, may last more than a week. Avoid heavy drinking, deep massage and intense exercise for 3 to 5 days, and keep heat off the area for one week.
